Designed to be shackled to the front corners of the vehicle, with the winch or snatch line acting at the chafe-protected centre portion. Professionally spliced both ends, with a Brummel locking splice - not a simple tuck splice that can pull out under load. Robust, extremely lightweight and strong enough to haul any 4WD out of a sticky situation. 600mm Polyester chafe guard over the centre portion of the bridle adds further protection to the great chafe resistance properties of the UHMWPE line. No dangerous fraying or splintering as is often found on similar wire products, and will not rust or corrode. Hand made in Australia by Wet Tech Rigging. Tech Specs: Construction: 12-strand Single-braid UHMWPE w/ Polyester Chafe Guard Rope Diameter: 10mm, 12mm or 14mm Bridle Colour: Black, with various chafe sleeve colour options availableStainless Steel Thimbles offered as an upgrade Notes on Load Capacity:It must be noted that the Minimum Break Load (MBL) of a bridle arrangement depends on anchor point separation and bridle length, ultimately driving the “included angle”.For example, a 3.0m length bridle, anchored at a separation of 2.0 metres gives an included angle of 83.6 degrees. The spliced in-line MBL of a 12mm UHMWPE equiliser bridle is approximately 10.5T. Applying a 10.5T load to the centre of equiliser bridle introduces a load of 7.0T per strop leg. To introduce 10.5T into each strop leg, the actual applied load is 15.7T. Hence, for a 3.0m strop operating at an anchor separation of 2.0m the MBL is 15.7T.An identical scenario for a shorter 2.5m strop yields an MBL of 12.6T, and a longer 3.5m strop yields 17.2T.Graphs for each construction line diameter offered indicating the relationship between bridle length and MBL are provided in the listing images.
