1 Crouse Hinds 14" White Porcelain Light Industrial VDB3 Globe Barn Vintage NOS

They have obviously served in a climate-controlled building without harsh contaminants in the air. Nicer lights of this type are not available, these are the best of the best. They are 14 inch diameter shallow shades with a stunning black rim. 1940's Crouse Hinds industrial warehouse/factory lights with perfect globes. The globes are Crouse Hinds famous VDB-3's and are without chips, cracks or any other damage. Most of the shades retain at least a portion of their manufacturers label. The substantial cast socket housing has its original finish and is in wonderful condition. The socket is the standard medium base size and is in perfect order. Along with new wires and gaskets, a good solid ground has been provided for safety. Put a smile on your electricians face and pass your inspections!From the bottom of the globe to the ceiling is 20" with the 8" pipe. The globe protrudes 3" below the shade. The fitters take 3/4" NPT pipe. Other lengths may be available if I have them in stock. The newer swivel hanger will help protect the fixture from bumps and bruises. It will also allow the light to hang plumb from a ceiling that is not level. The following letter letter addressed to Crouse Hinds is just for fun. 110 years old. I found this old letter in one of my vintage Crouse Hinds Catalogs....I just wanted to share. No expense was spared during the restoration of these amazing vintage lights. I tend to each and every one as if I was restoring it for public exhibition...I'm extremely proud of my work. Light will be shipped in pieces to insure safe arrival; re-assembly is EASILY accomplished by purchaser. These guys are relatively heavy. The buyer will contribute $24 towards the shipping cost of the first light and $19 for each additional.. They take a larger box because the globes are big and somewhat fragile. I suggest that all electrical items be checked and installed by a professional electrician.Always buying nice collections of lights or those dirty old barn lights that were removed decades ago now residing in the attic.
