I focused on the chips. These classic green barn/industrial lights are the perfect size for most applications, 16 inch diameter. The rolled and sealed lower rim has a wonderful black band baked right into the porcelain. These were among the highest priced green standard bowl reflectors when originally manufactured in the 1920's - 1940's. They were engineered to be upper-end and they truly are. Cosmetically, these guys have have not been pampered. Each may have fairly large chips and maybe even a bit of rust. No dents or bends. There may be surface rust or discoloration inside the neck. If you'd like authentic patina along with an abundance of safety, these are for you. These are rated in "C" condition. The last six pictures shows the last four shades available. I focused on the chips. In order to allow the light to function as designed, I've added a 3/4 inch extension to the new socket fitter. This allows the bulb to extend an additional 3/4 inch into the shade for better illumination. Today's bulbs are far shorter than they were when this light was manufactured. The extension is also perfect for the use of LED bulbs. (Don't let your bulbs get lost in the neck). And last but not least, the machined extension is designed to provide a good, solid ground, my commercial and safety conscious buyers LOVE this option....pass your inspections!! These lights would do well outdoors as well as inside. The socket is nicely protected with new factory cut cork gaskets. These lights are the perfect light for gooseneck mounting. The newer down-rods are 6" long. Other rod lengths available for the asking are 3" and 12". The wiring will accommodate up to a 36" down-rod. If you need longer, send me a note.The diameter of the shade is 16 inches. From the bottom of the shade to the point that the down-rod screws in is 9.5". The complete light is 16.5" tall. If no other choices are specified during checkout or an email soon after, the lights will ship with 6" down-rods.The newer UL listed swivel hangers allow the lights to hang plumb, (vertical) even if your ceiling is not level, (horizontal) and also allows the lights to resist damage from accidental, (or purposeful), bumps and bruises.
